SAFM is a public radio station owned by SABC (South Africa Broadcasting Corporation). It broadcasts in English from Auckland Park, Johannesburg and across South Africa using frequencies that range between 104 and 107 FM.

This radio was first launched in 1936 with a full spectrum format. The station moved away from this format in recent years, offering now a schedule composed mostly of talk shows that discuss the main issues concerning today's society; news reports with the latest local, national and international news, as well as traffic and weather reports; and sports programmes. Its team of presenters stands out for its professionalism and trustworthiness, even after the departure of big names such as Ernest Pillay and Tsepiso Makwetla.

On its website, it features a live streaming option that allows people from all over the world to enjoy its broadcast live. The podcasts of its main programmes can also be found online.
