KCAW is a community radio station serving Sitka and the coastal fishing towns in its proximity. It is operated by the Raven Radio Foundation, Inc.

Its weekly schedule includes NPR programming as well as locally produced shows by community volunteers. Its lineup also features in-depth new reports with all the relevant local, statewide, and national news, public affairs reports, and essential information such as public announcements and severe weather warnings. Throughout the broadcast, the station's hosts also provide information on local events and updates to the community calendar.

KCAW's live streaming service is not geographically limited to reach a worldwide audience and provide the opportunity for everyone to listen live to its locally produced programming.
