Alex FM is a community radio station broadcasting to the Greater Alexandra Community and North Eastern Johannesburg using the frequency 89.1 FM. It is also possible to listen live to its broadcast globally through online live streaming.

The station was first launched in 1994 by the Alexandra Community Trust and has since offered inclusive content in English, IsiZulu, Sepedi, Setswana, Xitsonga, Venda, Sesotho and IsiXhosa tailored to every group of the community, including children, women and young adults.

Alex FM provides a diverse line-up with news reports, entertaining shows, talk shows on current affairs and lifestyle, interviews, educational programmes and the coverage of the community main events and activities. The station also offers music shows where it showcases the works of local artists through music submissions.
